2012 Activities & Events
Wednesday Night Kids "WiNK"
Wednesday's from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. This action packed 2 hours of fun in our Lord's house begins with supper at 6:00 PM followed by 6:30 - 8:00 PM recreation, devotionals, crafts, snacks, singing, playing, a treasure box & plenty of time for our kids to fellowship with one another! Come join the fun - check the church calendar or be sure to pick up a Children's Newsletter with any dates we may not have WiNK. ALL are invited! Children 3 & 4 have lessons with Mrs. Annette, children Kindergarten thru 3rd grade have lessons with Mrs. Christy & Miss. Rylee, children 4th & 5th grade have lessons with Mrs. Kathy.
Session 1: 10 weeks from Jan. 11th ~ Mar. 14th (off on Feb. 22nd for Ash Wednesday)

Daddy & Daughter Dessert Date
On Friday evening February 10th from 6:00 - 7:15 PM our Dad's and Daughter's of all ages are welcome to join in the fun & take part in a special dessert planned just for them. Dress up if you would like, there will be pictures taken for you to keep the memory of this special date! Thursday February 9th we will plan to have the girls start to get things ready for their Dad's from 5:00 - 6:00PM. Please sign up at the Connection Center or contact Christy for further details.
JOURNEY TO EASTER
PLAY & FAMILY BLANKET PICNIC:
Our Journey to Easter will begin Wednesday March 21st: 6:00 - 8:00 PM for practice and our final rehearsal will be Wednesday March 28th 6:00 - 8:00 PM. CD's will be handed out to practice at home!
Our performace will be Palm Sunday April 1st at 4:30 PM followed by a family blanket picnic on the front campus lawn & a dessert potluck! Please invite your friends and neighbors to join in this very special Easter Event.
Easter Egg Hunt
We welcome all in the community to join us for our HUMC annual Easter Egg Hunt on the campus lawns of HOPE! This event will be held on Saturday MARCH 31st beginning at 2:00 PM. There is no cost involved and children from toddler to 6th grade are welcome to join the hunt!
Women of Hope will hold a BAKE SALE during the Easter Egg Hunt to help raise funds for children and youth attending the Warren Willis Camp in July, 2012. Please HOP-ON-BY & join the fun!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
The week of JUNE 18th ~ 22nd HUMC will host:
OPERATION OVERBOARD
WHERE KIDS DARE TO GO DEEP WITH GOD!
This week jam-packed with amazing worship and awesome fellowship is offered to those who are 3 years (potty trained) to 5th grade! Our youth "DIVE GUIDES" from 6th - college age are welcome to be crew leaders for the week! Be sure to pick up a registration at HOPE or print from the web-site and return NO LATER then JUNE 1st!
SUMMER DAY CAMP
Beginning Monday June 25th through Friday August 10TH, 2012 HUMC will host a weekday camp from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. We are hosting SEVEN weeks of camp for elementary age children! This daily camp will be full of fun and fellowship! There are limited openings available for each week ~ be sure to sign up early to reserve your spot!!
Cost: There is a one time registration of $10 per family to reserve your camp weeks.
Weekly fee: $65 for our 6 hour session from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, and $85 for our 8 hour session from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. *please contact our offices if you are in need of care prior to 9:00 am and/or after 5:00 PM to discuss this option.

MOVE UP SUNDAY
Kids from 3 years thru 5th grades will be moving up to new classes! Our former 5th graders will be moving on to the youth class for middle school students that is offered on Sunday mornings during the 9:30 service.

Presentation of 3rd Grade Bibles
Bibles presented to our Sunday school students entering 3rd grade in the Fall of 2012 from Pastor Kelly during the service Sunday morning. To register your child for this or for more information regarding this event, please contact Christy Murdoch 372-4689 ext. 11.

TRUNK OR TREAT
Fun for all with biblical or fall-harvest theme's for children to "trunk or treat" on the HUMC campus. For more information regarding this event, please contact Christy Murdoch 372-4689 ext. 11.

Hanging of the Greens Crismons craft
Kids will enjoy making traditional Crismons of white biblical symbols with gold glitter and gold ribbon to be hung on the tree as we hang the greens in preparation of Christmas. For more information regarding this event, please contact Christy Murdoch 372-4689 ext. 11.

Children's Christmas Play
To celebrate the true meaning of Christmas our Children of Hope present the story of the first Christmas with a play and music. Followed with a potluck supper. For more information regarding this event, please contact Christy Murdoch 372-4689 ext .11 Practices will be held: Wednesdays from 6:00 - 8:00 PM November 28th, December5th, December 12th and final dress rehearsal will be held on Saturday December 15th 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

PARENTS NIGHT OUT
A night out for parents and a night in for the kids! Attendees enjoy both fellowship and devotion time at each gathering. Activities are planned for each age group. Ages birth to 6th grade. PARENTS "DAY" OUT
Saturday November 24th 2:00 - 7:00PM - pre-registration will be required
A requested donation of a small toy for boy or girl for the Holiday Tent & for canned food for Volunteer Way's food pantry, as well as $10.00 to cover the cost of snacks and a pizza supper per child. Plan on getting your Christmas shopping, wrapping and baking done & we'll watch the kids!
