The Journey

Hope United Methodist’s Youth Group

Mission Statement

The Journey’s mission is to glorify God through the fellowship and discipleship of students, ministering to others by loving and serving the community.

What we do:

Certain vehicles are taken to move along in the journey in our walk with Christ. Some of these include:

Fellowship through food, fun and games

Worship

Small Community Groups

Confirmation

Local and International Mission Trips

Warren W. Willis Camp, Fruitland, Florida

The Journey’s Praise Band

What we are about:

WELCOME—GROW—SERVE

As a community we realize we are part of a global connection extending far beyond us and in order for us to accomplish our journey’s mission, we need to welcome, grow and serve individually and together as a community of faith.

Welcome

We believe that in order to lead others to a life in Christ we need to be willing to accept and provide all of God’s children with unconditional love, tolerance and respect.

Grow

Through the participation of small community groups and worship, we are able to grow in our understanding of God’s purpose in our journey of life. Through study of the Word of God, we are able to come closer to the living Christ and learn what it means to live out His purpose.

Serve

As a community we realize by serving we live out God’s Word through helping those in need with radical acts of kindness in our church family, local and foreign communities.

When we meet:

[SNL] Sunday Night Live is where we gather as an entire youth group for food, games, worship and small community groups. We meet on Sunday nights from 5:30-8:00 p.m. and all students from 6th to 12th grades are invited to participate.
