“The Journey’s Mission is to glorify God through the fellowship and discipleship of students, ministering to others by loving and serving the community.”
Wednesday’s Journey (Middle School Program)
Wednesday’s Journey is a program set up for middle school students and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. All youth in 6th to 8th grade are invited to attend this wacky group of teens for fun, fellowship, food and group talks. This amazing group of young people are led by Susan McNulty, so come and join the wackiness as we journey along with Jesus, sharing with others God’s unconditional love.
All adult facilitators providing volunteer hours to the church have attended a Child Protection Class and have gone through a background check.
Destination Unknown
Destination Unknown is a program that will take The Journey off campus to an unknown location. The location could be a park, fast food, ice cream, another youth group, etc. This will provide a way for the youth to invite and encourage those friends who may be hesitant from entering into a church environment. Destination Unknown will be a vehicle to minister to teenagers in need of a church family.
Dates for Destination Unknown are currently as follows:
May 2nd, June 6th, July 18th, August 22nd, September 26th, November 7th and December 19th.
Parents will be notified the week before of the location selected for Destination Unknown. If you would like to participate and help with transportation, send an email to hopeinfo@hope-umc.com .
If your student will be participating in Destination Unknown, a parental permission slip must be completed and returned to the church.
All adult mentors providing volunteer hours to the church have attended a Child Protection Class and have gone through a background check.
