Missions At Hope

At Hope, we believe in living a life dedicated to others, bringing God’s love to people living in our local communities and beyond.  Missions ministry is just one way we can share God’s love with others.  The following is a list of missions Hope sponsors or that we sponsor in partnership with other organizations and churches:

Food Missions

Pack-a-Sack program which provides non-perishable food for chronically hungry school children during the weekends and on extended school breaks.

Judy’s Pantry provides non-perishable food for cancer patients who may not have financial resources to buy groceries after paying for medical expenses.

Feeding the Hungry provides hot meals for people experiencing homelessness and/or food instability.

Missions Across the Lifespan

CARES - Hope provides disposable absorbent underpants and donated garments are provided to address seniors’ clothing and hygiene needs.

SOLVE - Hope donates diapers, children’s clothing, baby items/equipment (e.g. strollers, car seats, high chairs) for young families in need.

Missions for People Experiencing Homelessness

Clothes Closets- New and gently used clothing, shoes, coats, purses, and new socks and new undergarments to people experiencing homelessness or financial difficulties.

Butch’s Holler- Provides hygiene products, bug spray, bandages, and rain ponchos to aid people who are living on the streets and in the woods in our community.

Jean’s Bike Mission– Offering new and used bicycles, as well as chains, locks, and lights, to individuals who lack other modes of transportation for job interviews, work, appointments, or around town.

Cold Weather Shelter-  A temporary shelter when the outside temperature is expected to drop below 32 degrees for more than three hours.

International Mission

Hope has a short-term international mission trip to Central America that provides services based upon the specific needs of the community we are visiting.  Past services have included an eyeglass clinic, light construction and painting, building of wood-burning stoves, and vacation Bible school.

Sister church - Iglesia Metodista de Marianao in Cuba, that Hope is committed to financially and spiritually.
